Tiny But Mighty Program
Serving NICU Warriors
About Us
The Tiny but Mighty Program was created by our founder in honor of her daughter who was a NICU warrior and our current owner whose son was a NICU warrior.
Our founder's daughter was born four weeks early and transferred to East Tennessee Children's Hospital NICU due to respiratory distress, pneumothorax (collapsed lung), and low blood sugars. She spent ten days in the NICU, many of which was on a CPAP machine and two on a ventilator. While fighting for her life, our founder and her husband would hold their daughter's hand through the enclosed NICU bed and tell her she was "tiny but mighty" and that is how this program came to be.

Our current owner's son was born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). Once discovered shortly after birth, he was transferred to East Tennessee Children's Hospital NICU to determine when he would need surgery. This condition has a variety of possibilities and thankfully their son was on the better case scenario.
The Tiny but Mighty Program is specifically created to serve the babies and families facing the hardships of living in the NICU. Having a baby in the NICU brings many stresses, not only physically, but mentally and financially as well. Motherly Love's Tiny but Mighty Program aims to help alleviate some of these stressors for NICU families and make them feel loved and supported through that difficult journey.
